The Department aims to improve the health and lives of children through its contributions to medical science and clinical practice and embraces a range of activities including a strong research base.

- Neonatal/paediatric respiratory medicine (led by Prof Sailesh Kotecha) with Dr Colin Powell, Dr Brad Spiller, Dr Eamon McGreal, Prof Kathy Triantafilou and Dr Martha Triantafilou
- Child protection (Prof Alison Kemp and Dr Sabine Maguire)
- Paediatric endocrinology (Prof John Gregory and Dr Bronwen Evans)
- Management and delivery of (Dr Colin Powell) and SSCs (Dr Patrick Cartlidge)
- Management and delivery of postgraduate education (Dr Elspeth Webb and Dr Rachel Brooks)

Students recognised for research excellence - Cardiff University
17th February 2012Two Cardiff students have talked their way to UK recognition for their pioneering medical research.
