C21: Developing tomorrow's doctors

On September 14th 2012 the Cardiff University School of Medicine's Institute of Medical Education held its 3rd Annual Curriculum Away Day, an event marking the end of the Design stage of the C21 Project and opening the detailed Implementation phase.

Its purpose was to propose and refine curriculum Phases 1 and 3 (the design of which was signed off in July 2012) and to report on Phase 2 and developments within the existing curriculum.

The day included presentations from project leads and solution-focused working groups; between them, their remit was to address your ideas, concerns and expectations regarding the undergraduate curriculum by providing operational detail on what is happening, who is involved, how people can engage with changes to the curriculum and the staff development model that will support it all.
