His talk on 'IFN-g and STAT1 regulate the MMP:TIMP balance during the development of inflammation-induced peritoneal fibrosis' was one of three selected abstracts in the Osman Lecture session (named after the founder of the Renal Association), given by Prof David Salant from Boston University Medical Centre.
The award included a certificate signed by the president of the Renal Association Prof Peter Mathieson and a cheque for £100.
